The story of EARTHEN CONNECT began with a simple question: How do you really know if the food you buy is authentic, natural or organic? A label can tell you what a product claims to be, but it may not tell you where it came from, who grew it, or how it reached you. During the 2020 lockdown, this question led us to explore the idea of traceability. We imagined a food journey where consumers could look beyond the label & understand the story behind what they were buying, from its source & farmer to its journey from farm to table.

Our exploration took us to Northeast India, particularly Meghalaya, where we met farmers, visited farms & interacted with Farmer Producer Organisations to understand the realities of natural & organic farming. We discovered both the immense potential of these farming communities & the challenges farmers face while adopting more sustainable practices. At the same time, we saw a clear gap between farmers & consumers: farmers needed better market connections, while consumers needed greater transparency & confidence in the products they purchased. This strengthened our belief that traceability could help bridge that gap.

We then began building our traceability-led approach & realised that the best way to demonstrate the idea was through products people could actually experience. That led to the launch of EARTHEN CONNECT, bringing our philosophy to life through products with a journey that can be understood & traced.

Today, EARTHEN CONNECT is built around one simple belief: better food begins with better transparency. We are working to create a more connected food journey, bringing consumers closer to the source & the people behind the products they choose.
